Discover Padel
Learn the basics and get started with the fastest-growing sport in the world
How It Works
The LGCY Discover Padel Session is suitable for participants who have never played padel before, or just a few times. We explain the rules and demonstrate the basic techniques, with small exercises that build on each other and help players get a grip on the game.
Then there is time for free play with lots of room to fail, learn, and hopefully achieve the first proper rally. If one of your goals for the offsite is to enable connection and social mixing, we can ensure that groups shuffle.
For Discover Padel, the flow is more important than doing everything right! Nevertheless, the goal is to finish the session with at least one game being played out according to the rules and counting system.
What is padel?
Padel is a mix between tennis and squash. It is played in doubles with two major differences compared to tennis: the courts are smaller and surrounded by glass and grid. The amazing thing: the glass walls are part of the game and can be used to score points!

Why is it the perfect vehicle for flow and team spirit?
Padel is easy to learn. And hard to master. That balance makes it a natural fit for flow, which is most likely to emerge when a task challenges us just beyond our current level of comfort.
The sport is defined by dynamic, fast-paced and often surprisingly long rallies that demand constant attention and can pull players deeply into the moment. Intuition, focus, coordination, creativity, fun and shared momentum are essential to both padel and flow.
At the same time, padel is inherently social: partners need to communicate, adapt and move as a unit. That makes it a natural team-building activity.
It is possible to offer both padel and pilates, making for an activity that combines sports & competition with wellbeing & mindfulness, while offering something for participants who don't enjoy racket sports.
